That’s because the entire festival–including performances by Steve Winwood–was filmed and will be airing at more than 475 theaters nationwide on July 27.
The two hour HD movie also includes clips of performances by Clapton, ZZ Top, BB King, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Buddy Guy and John Mayer.

]]>Winwood is releasing “a multi-disc career retrospective on June 7th entitled Revolutions-The Very Best Of Steve Winwood.” It will be available in two formats a single CD and a 4-CD Deluxe Box set.
Santana will be announcing additional dates for a second North American leg and an International leg. Fans can expect to hear music spanning his 40 year career. He will also be debuting new material from his forthcoming album that is currently in its finishing stages.

]]>Eric Clapton announced Steve Winwood as one of the top acts at the 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival on June 26. The day-long event is the only North American stop scheduled for Winwood, and will also feature performances by The Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, BB King, John Mayer, Jonny Lang, Earl Klugh and many more.
Since he just wrapped up five performances in the U.S., Winwood is heading to Europe for a ton of performances May 18-June 13.
]]>Nominations were received for Best Rock Album and for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group for “Can’t Find My Way Home.” The fellow nominees in these categories represent some of mainstream rock’s biggest stars including U2, Green Day, Kings of Leon,Coldplay, and the Dave Matthews Band.
The 2-disc DVD set captures the New York City reunion performance, a sold-out three-night gig, by these legends of rock, who followed up the show with another tour this past spring. The second disc features an exclusive documentary with new interviews from Clapton and Winwood, rare footage and photos of Cream, Traffic and Blind Faith, and backstage behind-the-scenes scenes.
Plans are already in the works for a European outing in the summer of 2010, where Winwood and Clapton are expected to also hit the busy festival circuit on the old continent and in the U.K.
The 52nd Grammy Awards airs on January 31, 2010, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, on CBS at 8pm (EST).
]]>This is the second summer the two have performed together – last year, they played a number of shows at Madison Square Garden in New York.
A CD/DVD documentary is due out on the 2008 shows this fall. In the shows, they performed a number of tracks from Blind Faith’s album, as well as covers of Jimi Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child” and “Little Wing.”
